We clean built-in BBQs, that’s what we do
Professional deep cleaning for BBQs that can’t be moved: outdoor kitchens, stone islands and three-season rooms, where the BBQ is essentially indoors and the space around it needs as much care as the BBQ itself.
Professional built-in BBQ cleaning
Toronto, the GTA, Ottawa, Barrie and 11 locations across Ontario
A built-in BBQ can’t be rolled out onto the lawn. It’s set into stone, tile or cabinetry, and it may sit under a roof or inside a three-season room. The cleaning itself is the same deep clean we give every gas BBQ, with every part mechanically cleaned, degreased and washed by hand. What’s different is everything around it: the counters, the finishes, the floor and the walls, and we take extra care with all of it, before a single part comes out.

What it costs
Pricing depends on where your BBQ is built in, because that decides how much extra care the job needs. Pick the setup that matches yours. The price covers a BBQ of any size and brand.

Three kinds of built-in, three levels of care
What we do to the BBQ is the same every time: every part comes out and is mechanically cleaned, degreased and washed by hand, and the firebox is refurbished with power tools and specialized cleaning agents. What changes is how much extra care the space around it needs.

Three-season room kitchens
A BBQ built into a screened porch, sunroom or enclosed patio is, for cleaning purposes, indoors. There’s no lawn to work on, the floor is finished, the walls and ceiling are close, and the furniture is often a few feet away.
This is not a standard cleaning, and we don’t treat it as one. Floors, walls and nearby furniture are covered before anything is taken apart. Parts are carried out to be cleaned rather than cleaned in the room. Water and cleaning agents are used with far more control than they would be outside, and the room is left as we found it, minus the grease. These are the jobs we’re proudest of, because they take skill as much as effort.

Outdoor kitchens
A full outdoor kitchen puts the BBQ in a counter alongside a sink, fridge, side burner and storage, with stone, tile or stainless on every side. It’s outside, but there’s still a lot around the BBQ that can be stained, scratched or soaked.
The cleaning is the same. The care around it is not. Counters, cabinet fronts and the kitchen floor are covered, stainless doors and drawers are shielded from cleaning agents, and parts are cleaned away from the finished surfaces. It’s more involved than a freestanding BBQ, and we price it that way.
-
Standard islands
A BBQ set into a simple stone, stucco or brick island. The challenge here is that the BBQ can’t be moved, so everything is done in place: the parts come out through the top, the firebox is refurbished where it sits, and we take extra care with the island around it while we work.
The cleaning itself
Lid interior, warming rack, grates, heat plates, burners, firebox and grease tray, each one mechanically cleaned, degreased and washed by hand, with the burners flushed to clear webs and debris. It’s the same part-by-part process as our gas BBQ cleaning, done in place.
What to expect on the day
The same communication you get with every Barbeque Pro visit, with the extra care a built-in needs.
-
A heads-up before we arrive, and no need to be home
You’ll get a message through our app when your technician is on the way. You don’t need to be home. As long as we can get to the BBQ, an outdoor water tap and an outdoor electrical outlet, we have everything we need. For a three-season room, we’ll confirm access to the room with you when you book.
-
Inspect and photograph
We look over the BBQ and the space around it, check that everything is working, and take detailed “before” photos of both. If we spot a problem with the BBQ, the technician sends the details to our office so we can tell you about the repair or part.
-
Take extra care with the space
Before any part comes out, the counter, cabinet fronts, floor and anything nearby are covered. In a three-season room that includes walls and furniture. This is the step that sets a built-in cleaning apart, and we don’t rush it.
-
Take it apart and mechanically clean every part
Grates, racks, heat plates, burners and the grease tray come out through the top and are carried clear of the finished surfaces. Each part is mechanically cleaned with power tools, degreased and washed by hand, and the burners are flushed. The firebox is refurbished in place with power tools and specialized cleaning agents.
-
Wash and polish the outside
Everything goes back in. The hood and control panel are washed by hand and polished to remove water marks. The coverings come off and the counter and floor are cleaned of anything that got past them.
-
Before and after photos
We take “after” photos of the BBQ and the space around it and write up completion notes in the app, so you have a clear record of the whole job.
Built-in BBQ cleaning questions
What counts as a built-in BBQ?
Any BBQ that’s set into a counter or island rather than standing on its own cart: a grill head dropped into a stone island, a full outdoor kitchen, or a BBQ built into a three-season room or covered porch. If it can’t be wheeled away from the wall, it’s built in.
Which built-in brands do you clean?
All of them: Lynx, DCS, Wolf, Viking, Hestan, Kalamazoo, Fire Magic, Twin Eagles, Alfresco, Blaze, Bull, Coyote, Delta Heat, Napoleon, Weber and Broil King built-ins, and similar. If yours isn’t listed, send us a photo.
Why is a built-in priced by the setup and not by the size of the BBQ?
Because on a built-in, the size of the BBQ isn’t what decides the work. The space around it is. A three-season room takes far more extra care than a stone island, even if the grill inside is the same. So the price follows the setup, and it covers a BBQ of any size and brand.
What is a three-season room cleaning, and why is it different?
A three-season room is a screened or enclosed porch, so the BBQ is essentially indoors. Finished floors, walls, a ceiling and furniture are all within reach of the work. We cover all of it, carry parts out of the room to clean them, and control water and cleaning agents far more tightly than we would outside. It isn’t a standard cleaning, and it’s the kind of job we take the most pride in.
Will you take care of my counters, stone and cabinets?
Yes. Covering the counter, cabinet fronts and floor is a step in every built-in cleaning, before any part comes out. Parts are cleaned away from the finished surfaces, and we clean up anything that gets past the coverings before we leave.
Can you clean a BBQ that can’t be moved at all?
Yes, that’s the point of this service. Everything comes out through the top, the firebox is refurbished where it sits, and we take extra care with the island around it while we work.
How long does it take, and do I need to be home?
A built-in cleaning takes longer than a freestanding one, usually two to three hours depending on the setup and the condition of the BBQ. You don’t need to be home. As long as we can get to the BBQ, an outdoor water tap and an outdoor electrical outlet, we have what we need. For a three-season room, we’ll confirm how we get into the room when you book.
What if you find something that needs repair?
We test the BBQ before we start. If a burner, igniter, valve or other part isn’t doing its job, the technician sends the details to our office and we’ll follow up about the repair or replacement part. Barbeque Pro handles BBQ repairs and parts as well as cleaning.
Do you clean built-in BBQs in Mississauga, Ottawa and across the GTA?
Yes. Barbeque Pro has 11 Ontario locations: Toronto, Vaughan, Mississauga, Pickering, Newmarket, Caledon, Hamilton, Barrie, Collingwood, Muskoka and Ottawa. Pick your setup, choose your location and you’ll see the open dates.
Not a built-in?
Freestanding gas BBQs, pellet grills and ceramic BBQs each get their own process and their own pricing.
