Bacon Wrapped Pineapple Appetizer, Hawaiian BBQ Sauce
Aloha! Here is a nifty little appetizer to serve this weekend.
INGREDIENTS
Fresh pineapple chunks (not canned)
Thick sliced bacon
Brown sugar
Hawaiian BBQ sauce
DIRECTIONS
Soak toothpicks in water. Cut bacon strips in half width-wise. Wrap bacon around pineapple. Secure with toothpick. Sprinkle bacon with brown sugar. Grill on a rimmed baking sheet with indirect heat with the burners set on high ( the goal is to keep the oven temp around 375-400) heat until bacon is cooked (about 18). Serve warm bacon wrapped pineapple appetizers with Hawaiian BBQ sauce as a dip on the side.
Tip: Line baking sheet pan with parchment paper for a (much) easier clean up.
