Bacon Wrapped Pineapple Appetizer, Hawaiian BBQ Sauce

Aloha! Here is a nifty little appetizer to serve this weekend.

INGREDIENTS

  • Fresh pineapple chunks (not canned)

  • Thick sliced bacon

  • Brown sugar

  • Hawaiian BBQ sauce

 

 

DIRECTIONS

  • Soak toothpicks in water. Cut bacon strips in half width-wise. Wrap bacon around pineapple. Secure with toothpick. Sprinkle bacon with brown sugar. Grill on a rimmed baking sheet with indirect heat with the burners set on high ( the goal is to keep the oven temp around 375-400) heat until bacon is cooked (about 18). Serve warm bacon wrapped pineapple appetizers with Hawaiian BBQ sauce as a dip on the side.

Tip: Line baking sheet pan with parchment paper for a (much) easier clean up.
